Joseph M. Coe

Joseph is a lifelong resident of Rockland County.
Since the age of 15, Joseph has been involved in diverse nonprofit, government and community organizations. When he was 16, he spoke out against LGBTQ bullying at VCS Gay Pride Rockland. In 2003, the Rockland County Youth Bureau awarded him the Joseph A. Myers Service to Youth Award and in 2011 he was named one of Rockland`s 40 under 40 by the Rockland Economic Development Corporation. Joseph holds a BA from the University at Albany in English and Women's Studies and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration at Marist College in Poughkeepsie. His life work is summed up by Audre Lorde: “There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.”
